Shared-link guide

Understand a home digest someone shared with you

Review the shared report without changing records

The section navigation moves through the selected home’s modeled value, recorded data, scenarios, comparables, and advisor contact.

  1. Step 1: Confirm the member name and selected property, especially when multiple homes exist.
  2. Step 2: Use the sticky section navigation to move through the long report.
  3. Step 3: Read source and caveat text before discussing a figure.
  4. Step 4: Use Ask us only with the member’s permission and only for a non-sensitive inquiry. Never include Social Security numbers, account numbers, credentials, or documents.

Treat every scenario as an illustration

Modeled home value, loan balance, refinance, equity, rent, and purchasing scenarios are conversation starters—not verified transaction figures.

  1. Step 1: A modeled trend describes this home’s estimate, not a neighborhood market conclusion.
  2. Step 2: Loan results depend on the schedule on file and do not confirm a servicer payoff or other liens.
  3. Step 3: Refinance and purchasing illustrations omit underwriting and may omit taxes, insurance, maintenance, or new equity-debt payments.
  4. Step 4: Ask the listed advisor for a current, individualized review before making a decision.

Know what the link does—and does not—authorize

Possessing the digest link allows reading the report and submitting a one-way Ask us inquiry. It does not authorize account or financial edits or access to private message history.

  1. Step 1: Protect the URL like a private financial report and close it on shared devices.
  2. Step 2: Current claim, preference, and one-time sign-in links are separate credentials and must not be forwarded. Older digest-linked email opt-out URLs may remain valid so an unsubscribe is never lost.
  3. Step 3: Only the matching claimed member account can edit recorded mortgage details or use private Messages.
  4. Step 4: If the link may be exposed, the member should ask the advisor to regenerate it.

Get verified member access

Members use an advisor-issued claim invitation once, then sign in by password or an emailed one-time link when available.

  1. Step 1: If you are the member, ask the advisor shown on the digest to prepare or resend an invitation tied to your verified email.
  2. Step 2: Create a private password from the invitation; do not use another person’s forwarded invite.
  3. Step 3: After claiming, use Member sign in to open Your account, private Messages, alerts, preferences, and mortgage-detail corrections.
  4. Step 4: If you are helping the member, contact the advisor with them. Home Advantage has no delegated representative login, so never use their invitation, password, or one-time link.

Use a secure preference or unsubscribe link

A preference link grants only the limited ability to opt out of email; it does not expose the account or private message history. Current links use a dedicated credential, while older digest-linked unsubscribe URLs may remain valid so opt-outs are never lost.

  1. Step 1: Use the link delivered in the digest footer or campaign email; do not copy a different member’s URL.
  2. Step 2: Unsubscribing suppresses later campaign email. The bearer link cannot manufacture fresh opt-in consent; resubscribe requires the matching signed-in member or advisor review.
  3. Step 3: Protect and close the preference page when finished because the URL itself authorizes that limited email opt-out.
